Here I mean a free hosting site. How did you do the publishing part after you have both created your website in FrontPage/Publisher and created an account at some free web host.. ??
Ever published a website created in Microsoft FrontPage/Publisher ??
The freehost needs to allow "FrontPage Extensions" for this to work. You'd be better to learn how to FTP, but below are the steps to publishing a site with FrontPage 2000. For different versions, these may vary.
1. go to the "File" menu, then "Publish to Web"
2. In the dialog box, type the URL to your website (i.e. www.example.com/free/myaccount) (without a trailing slash, or a page name)
3. Click the "Options" button
4. Specify whether you want to publish only pages that have changed or all pages
5. click Publish
If this doesn't work, your site or host does not have FrontPage extensions enabled. In that case, perhaps use an FTP program, or the host's online file upload tool.

yes. In 1998.
Worst concept for an HTML editor ever.
If your host doesn't support "Front page extensions", then it won't work.
Reply:You have to upload the files to the server. I don't know if I did FTP at the time, or if the hosting site let me upload. It was an okay site, but needs to be redone. Its kind of oldish.
