How Do I redirect my Domain name?

Hi,





recently I purchased a Domain name (www.myname.com) and I want to redirect it to a free web hosting site where my site is located, so how do I do it, what is the procedure, say if I want to redirect it to my myspace profile..





Please I'm racked my brains but no use.

It largely depends on the domain name registrar. Basically, you will need to log into your account on their website and find the "Domain Redirect/Foward" option in your personal preferences.

However, some domain registrars don't offer this option, which means you are stuck completely.
How Do I redirect my Domain name?
most places that sell domain names [i use godaddy.com] have a users area to manage your names, you select "forward my domain" or something similar, enter the name of the site u want the name to go to when typed in the address bar and after about 24 hours it should redirect.
Reply:The should be an option in your domain name account to redirect or forward domain name from another site. It is as simple as just typing in the URL of the old site once you find the option. It should be under properties or manage domain.
