Starting A Blog?

I wanted to start writing a blog, but I'm unsure what to do for web-hosting. At least for right now I don't want to pay for anything, but I want a decently nice, attractive site. If it has advertising that's fine, but I need something that looks good and is easy to update. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

Blogger is a very good free site... it allows customization and is easy to use.
Reply:If you want to write your own, first be sure that the site you choose for hosting supports the language you're going to be writing in. (Not all free sites support php, or even give you a database to use.)
Reply:There are all sorts of places where people blog "for free", but what they're really doing is paying for the space with advertisements that are not their own... places like Blogger, MySpace, Frienster, StumbleUpon, and Flickr.





I found something recently that you might like though... completely free web hosting with no ads either, a whole bunch of features where you can set up pretty much any type of website that you like.





Here's the interesting part though... I'm starting to build an online course on how to use this free service as a WordPress blog... and since you have full ownership to do what you want with the site, if you really want to have ads, you'll be earning money with them.
