If I use frontpage i need to get a host of windows server not unix server? can somebody explain?

because i saw the advertize of web hosts, they dont say anything like windows server or unix server. Or can i use any host with frontpage?

Go here http://top-webhosts.xforumsx.com/ and pick a webhost. They all support frontpage extensions afaik.

You don't need a Windows server. UNIX is fine.





You might need a host that supports Frontpage Extensions if you plan to use some features of Frontpage, but most people can get by without those features, and last time I checked they were available for UNIX and Windows systems.





Personally I would avoid Frontpage though. The quality of its output is generally rather low. Dreamweaver is better, but nothing is a good substitute for learning HTML and CSS.
Reply:FrontPage doesn't care what kind of host you use as long as it supports FrontPage extensions. To find out about that, you need to check with the provider.





If they **don't** support FrontPage extensions, you'll need to either keep shopping around for a host or consider switching to another web design application. Good luck!
