Websites vs. Blogs ...

Think of a Blog as sort of an empty book ... you get the covers, a section like an index that keeps track of the rest, an "About the author section" ... but mostly what you're getting is a bunch of related, chronologically ordered blank pages (you actually get these as you use up the blank pages) ... much like a majic book that as soon as you write on a page, another blank one magically appears beind it.

Blogs are more for things that change every day or as often as you want them too ... the most recent is on top, followed by the next most recent, etc.

Free Blog sites are available such as Yahoo's 360, Google's Blogger (go to Google.com, click on the more link on the main page and scroll down for Blogger) ... I llike Xanga.com.

I'm not trying to drum up business for my stuff here, but to give you an example of how each is a little different, you may consider looking at my own little Website and Blog (links below).

Essentially, if you want to post something and have it be in the same place (i.e. Kids' PICs or Vaction PIC's, etc.), then you would use a Web-Page for that. People can then link to them. It's generally easier to find things on a website than a Blog.

If you're wanting an on-line diary of sorts, then a Blog is better ... If someone's looking for your summer vacation PIC's, rather than going to your photo album (the Website), they would have to wade through 14 months of Blog postings (since you can't search) as if it were a stack of old news papers.

Make sense ? I hope this helps.
